~my new experiences through out the MDS~

~assalamualaikum~

I'm sure all of you wonder what the is MDS ? It is actually what commonly known as orientation week, but here in UiTM we call it 'Minggu Destini Siswa' or for short MDS. I've became pembantu mahasiswa or PM and i'm responsible as one of the Bureau Medical. Me and my friends have to sacrifice our semester break just to prepare for the student intake session Jun-October 2013. Our first day as PM was chaos because we have to handle 1001 students and parents behavior. There's parents that complaining about parking area, registration, and even students college. During this whole MDS week, I'm the one that handle the students health problem. In my opinion, student nowadays are just a spoiled brat. They could'nt stand on tense and pressure that we had schedule for them. Some of them are complaining about many unimportant things or I call it as stupid stuff. Just like this one time, a student ask for an ambulance to sent him for a round-trip from college to seminar room that only take 10 minutes of walk . His excuses is that he can't stand on the hot days. -,-
However, the week gone smoothly even thought there is some issues that came out. I learn to became more patience and professional when handling people. It has became a great experience to cooperate with seniors and I surely will do it for the next time :)

In religion views, of course there are some restrictions when styling our hijab. As the hijab itself is a symbol of modesty which is required as a Muslim women to appear and live in modesty. It is sure nice to see a lot of beautiful shawl and hijab being wear by Muslim women, but the styling must follow the guideline in Islam. The hijab must show our modesty & at the same time presentable to wear out & give us confidence to seize the day. There are no problem in wearing stylish hijab as long as it covers what we need to cover. This phenomena shows that being a Muslim woman that wear hijab is not an obstacle for us to achieve our goals and become successful as there are a lot of successful hijabis around the world.

Where has my money GONE ??!!

Well, nowadays I'm in a situation where I'm very tight on money. So much of my money was spent without even I notice. I mean just like in 5 minutes the money in my purse became thinner stuff I buy just increasing. Especially in this Ramadhan, more money are spent for food to eat during break fast. With the bazaar so close too my college, it is for me to spent my money there. With all the kuih everywhere..

Of course the money was also spent for other expenses. But I really need to stand my ground & stop spending too much. I need to think of what I need rather than what I want. Gosh, I seriously need to start living on a shoestring budget since I only left with a few notes to spend until the Raya holiday. I think I should start eating more of my stock up food than buying food from the bazaar.

my stock up food

Dear money, please stop disappearing from my wallet. Dear self, please control yourself & don't spend too much.

what should i do????

smartphone

In this global, 90% people have using smartphone. Smartphone is the new gadget technology in this era. A smartphone is a mobile phone built on a mobile operating system, with more advanced computing capability and connectivity than a feature phone. Furthermore, to really understand what is a smartphones? You should start with a history lesson.
In the beginning, there were cell phones and personal digital assistants (PDA). Cell phones were used for making call and not much used else. But, a PDA could store your contact info and a to-do list and could sync with your computer. For example, PDA like the palm pilot, were used as personal, portable organizers. After that, PDAs gained wireless connectivity and were able to send and receive e-mail. Cell phones meanwhile, gained messaging capabilities, too. PDAs then added cellular phone feature, while cell phones added more PDA like and even computer like features. The result was the smartphone.
In general, a smartphone will be based on an operating system that allows it to run applications. The most common mobile operating systems (OS) used by modern smartphones include Google's Android, Apple's iOS, Nokia's Symbian, RIM's BlackBerry OS, Samsung's Bada, Microsoft's Windows Phone, Hewlett-Packard's webOS, and embedded Linux distributions such as Maemo and MeeGo. Such operating systems can be installed on many different phone models, and typically.

In a nutshell, a smartphone is a device that lets you make telephone calls, but also adds in features that, in the past, you would have found only on a personal digital assistant or a computer such as the ability to send and receive e-mail and edit Office documents, for example. The smartphone also give you more fasility to get information and to contact with people at another country without set time to meet at any place. When you used smartphones, it have more advantages because it is similar with computer.

exercise 1

Computer
A
computer is a general purpose device that can be programmed to carry out a finite set of arithmetic or logical operations. Since a sequence of operations can be readily changed, the computer can solve more than one kind of problem.
Conventionally, a computer consists of at least one processing element, typically a central processing unit (CPU) and some form of memory. The processing element carries out arithmetic and logic operations, and a sequencing and control unit that can change the order of operations based on stored information. Peripheral devices allow information to be retrieved from an external source, and the result of operations saved and retrieved.
The Z3 by German inventor Konrad Zuse from 1941 was the first working programmable, fully automatic computing machine. Thus, Zuse is often regarded as the inventor of the computer.
The first electronic digital computers were developed between 1940 and 1945 in the United Kingdom and United States. Originally they were the size of a large room, consuming as much power as several hundred modern personal computers (PCs). In this era mechanical analog computers were used for military applications.
Modern computers based on integrated circuits are millions to billions of times more capable than the early machines, and occupy a fraction of the space. Simple computers are small enough to fit into mobile devices, and mobile computers can be powered by small batteries. Personal computers in their various forms are icons of the information Age and are what most people think of as “computers”. However, the embedded computers found in many devices from MP3 players to fighter aircraft and from toys to industrial robots are the most numerous.
Programming language
Programming languages provide various ways of specifying programs for computers to run. Unlike natural languages, programming languages are designed to permit no ambiguity and to be concise. They are purely written languages and are often difficult to read aloud. They are generally either translated into machine code by a compiler or an assembler before being run, or translated directly at run time by an interpreter. Sometimes programs are executed by a hybrid method of the two techniques.
Low-level languages
Machine languages and the assembly languages that represent them (collectively termed low-level programming languages) tend to be unique to a particular type of computer. For instance, an ARM architecture computer (such as may be found in a PDA or a hand-held videogame) cannot understand the machine language of an Intel Pentium or the AMD Athlon 64 computer that might be in a PC.
Higher-level languages
Though considerably easier than in machine language, writing long programs in assembly language is often difficult and is also error prone. Therefore, most practical programs are written in more abstract high-level programming languages that are able to express the needs of the programmer more conveniently (and thereby help reduce programmer error).
